WOW!!!  Isn't the Internet wonderful??  Once again, it seems I am the topic of a lot of Internet rumors and speculation....but as someone might say, I guess "that's a good thing!"  It is certainly better to be on the minds and mouths of wrestling fans than to be forgotten and ignored.  So, once again, I will try my best to let you all know what is going on with the "King."  First off, let me say "Thanks" to everyone who has E-mailed me and wished me well in my personal life as I continue to tread through my divorce with Stacy.  As we speak, there is no progress or even any communication between us whatsoever.  The last e-mail I got from her said that she was just trying to deal with, and get over all that has happened, and start a new life for herself.  I am trying to do that as well.  Although, somehow I think she is having an easier time doing that than I am, because she is not alone.  But I have been trying to stay busy and keep my mind on other things.

As many of you saw in my last update, I traveled to Australia last month for the WWA (World Wrestling All-stars).  Had a great time with a great group of wrestlers in a great country.  Andrew McManus and Jeremy Borash have a first class organization there and they will promote many successful tours in the future of not only Australia, but the United Kingdom as well.  I brought back tons of great pictures of the tour that you can see on my website, and it was good to see a lot of guys I hadn't been around in a while, like Bret Hart.  Bret and I got to sit and talk a lot on this tour...probably more than we had ever talked in the past. We talked about the night that Owen died.  Bret wanted to know what I saw and felt being so close to what happened.  We talked about his divorce and how tough it was to go through.  We talked about his concussion and how it affected his career.  We talked about art and drawing...I even gave him a sketch I did on the plane going over.  He took me to a special place he had found in Australia on his previous visit, and I felt honored to be included.  I really like Bret Hart.  He really love the wrestling business and is passionate about it.  I got to see Jeff Jarrett for the first time in a while, and Disco Inferno, Roaddogg, Gangrel, Luna, and more.  I got to meet some guys for the first time, like Buff Bagwell and Stevie Ray, and it was a pleasure to work with them.  I was reunited with probably my biggest fan in all the world....a woman who has traveled all the way from Australia to the United States three different times just to watch me wrestle...Sue Schuter!!!!  Her local TV news did a story of her and I while I was there.  I got to meet a beautiful girl, ever so briefly, named Fiona, and we have stayed in contact via telephone and e-mail since then.  I am certainly hoping to see her again in person!  All in all it was a wonderful trip.  If you ever get the chance, I would highly recommend visiting Australia...it is beautiful!

The day before I left for Australia, and the day I got back from Australia, I did appearances for Acclaim Video's new game called "Legends Of Wrestling" due out this month.  It is a great new game that you will have to see to believe!  In early November, I did an appearance in Halls, Tennessee with my race car, which, by the way, missed the races in Talladega and Charlotte because of a blown engine.  We could have leased an engine for those races for around $45,000. but we decided to just wait until next season and start fresh.  Can you imagine, $45,000. just to lease an engine!!!  I also wrestled several dates for Maryland Championship Wrestling.  I even won the MCW championship for a couple of weeks!  And that brought me to mid November, and the XWF.  The XWF is a brand new organization that held their initial tapings at Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida on the 13th and 14th of November.  The talent list was pretty incredible with names like Hulk Hogan, Roddy Piper, Kurt Henning, Jimmy Hart, Bobby Heenen, Gene Okerland, The Nasty Boys, The Road Warriors, Rena and Mark Mero, and the list went on and on!  Everything about the tapings and the organization is first rate all the way, and I have no doubts that the XWF is going to be a serious contender in the world of wrestling.  I think that everyone, including the WWF, wants another wrestling company in business.  I've always said, "You can't be number one, unless there is a number two."  The XWF is not going to be on the same level as the WWF coming out of the box, but given time, with what I saw at the tapings, this company can definitely be successful.  With that said, now let's talk about today's rumors and speculation.

After Thursday's Smackdown and Paul Heyman's "shoot" interview, I guess a lot of people are assuming he won't be doing commentary anymore.  That would leave one to figure that I would fill that opening.  Well, all I can tell you is that it is 10:45 am on Saturday morning, November 17, 2001, and I have no deal or contract with the WWF whatsoever.  So, what will happen?  Your guess is as good as mine.  What will happen at Survivor Series?  Your guess is as good as mine.  Will Paul Heyman still be the announce on Raw Monday night?  Your guess is as good as mine.  If a call came to me from the WWF could I get out of my deal with the XWF?  That's one question where my guess is better than yours.  After the tapings Wednesday night in Orlando, I had a long meeting with the officials of the XWF.  We came to the agreement that should I be offered a position with the WWF and I chose to accept it, that they would not hold me to my contract.  They appreciated my participation in their inaugural tapings and expressed their interest in my continuing on with the XWF.  But being the class act that these guys are, they gave me the freedom to make my choice.  That is one of the reasons I know the XWF is going to be successful....the people that run the organization are not only good businessmen, they are good people.  They are sincere in their efforts to do the right thing not only with business but with talent as well.  So what will happen as far as the King is concerned?  Once again, your guess is as good as mine.  That's one of the great things about this business....trying to figure out what is going to happen....trying to guess who is going to do what.  Ya gotta love it!!!!!  Stay tuned!!!
