Letters to the King - By the Fans!

     The King was in Nashville TN on 4/10/03 at a Wal-Mart in my neighborhood to sign autographs.  I had planned for over a week to take my younger sons to meet him.  Well my oldest son had to have the car for a while and was late getting home, when I finally did get my little ones to the store, I noticed a limo driving to the front door of the store. I knew we were too late as we hurried into the store. A policeman there told me Mr. Lawler had already left. As I went on to do some shopping I saw Bert Prentice ( I hope I spelled his name correctly )  I didn't know who he was at first but he had several of the King's book in his arms, so I told him that I was sorry that my little boys missed Jerry.  A few minutes later he walked up to me and said "telephone".  It was King Lawler on Bert's cell. He was nice enough to call the King with my story. Jerry informed me he would be back in 2 weeks to wrestle and for me to bring my little! ones to see him and to come backstage and meet him!!!  I thought that this was a very sweet thing for him to do. As well as Mr. Prentice having listened to me and cared enough about my children missing out on seeing the King. Please share this on the fan page. Thanks so much.  -Donna

Spent this past Wrestlemania weekend reading the King's book.  The one
liners in the book made me laugh so hard!  The pictures of Jerry's past
wives and girls were great.  In my opinion, he should have stayed with
Paula, she seemed like the most genuinely beautiful woman of them all.
Looked like a woman I fell for, but never could win over because she was
going through her own divorce problems. Her name was Stephanie and a real
nice girl, too bad I was so wrapped up in trying to win someone who wasn't
winnable.  Anyway,  the old stories on the road, the politics involved in
the old NWA, his love of the Browns and Indians, this is the best book I
have read of all the WWE personalities.  King, have always enjoyed your
wrestling in Memphis. We got the show in the early 80's here in the Orlando
area, and remember totally all the antics of Jimmy Hart, the announcing of
Lance Russell, the flamboyant Fabulous Ones, Dundee who I thought never got
his due, plus the late Eddie  Gilbert.  Had he lived, he would have been a
great WWE heel superstar.  Again, great, great, funny, funny,  book.  Headed

  Saturday mornings after cartoons on the Memphis Television back in the
very early '80's was very important to me as a kid. We had to know what was
going to happen to The Moondogs, The Fabulous Ones (Every time I hear that
Billy Squire song I think of that video they did), Dutch Mantell, Koko
Ware, Austin Idol, Jimmy Hart, Jimmy Cornette, Handsome Jimmy (Whooo! Daddy!)
"The Superstar" Billy Dundee (Yes "The Superstar Billy Dundee!) even Andy
Kaufman and of course Jerry!!

    About a year ago I stumbled across a vedio series that you did in the
late 80's and the best one has to be the "Early Years" (plowboy Frazier the
watermelon and Dave Brown with you trying to keep a straight face). I
seriously request that you guys start working on a new DVD package of all of
that great vintage material. for all of us the nostalgic locals , and the
many many fans around the world that are now discovering what all y'all did
to develop, experiment and break the ceiling(...doors...walls.. steel chairs
and a popcorn machine or two.) To this day my Brother wont stop doing his
Lance Russell impression. ("Lawler with the piledriver!, Ooooooooo!!! Right
into the mat!!!)

    These days I am working up the ranks in illustration, comic books, pinups
and the like. I loved the art in you book just as much as the insights and
your stories there as well. The more I learn the ins and outs of your business,
the more fascinated I am about it.  I loved seeing some of your underground
comics strips that I had ran across a couple of years ago in a record shop
in midtown Memphis. Your spirit to the WWE now a days gives it the right edge
it needs to make it work properly. I am proud to name "The King" as a major
influence.

Well where do I start? I grew up following Memphis wrestling and Jerry Lawler was a definite inspiration. I just finished reading his book and now my respect for Jerry has grown. I remember everything about Memphis wrestling and wanted to tell The King ...Thanks for everything !!!!!

      I wanted to say that it seems that the WWE has overlooked what you have done for wrestling. Like Hulk Hogan, Ric Flair and your self between you three Wrestling was made by you and always kept afloat in troubled times all of you kept the business running from one organization to the other.  

      Here is a final story line that I think fans would love to see, that would involve all three of you. For SummerSlam all belts from both Raw and SmackDown are on the line and the concept is this the current wrestlers who holds the belts leading up to SummerSlam are bad mouthing the King, Hogan and Flair saying there old and no good ect. In a unprecedented event all three will have the chance to win all the belts from the two heavyweight belts to the intercontinental heavyweight belt to the tag team belts on the two shows. The three of you win all belts and walk away with the respect and closing to all three of the best wrestlers of all TIME!

      The benifits of this would really help, after this event all belts are now free and the WWE creators can start fresh story lines which is in need of change! Tournaments
for each belt and tag team belts. This would also give the opportunity to restructure both show rosters.                   

                                    Thank You for your time and I hope like other fans that you three wrestlers have that final chance to go out with GREATNESS and THE CHEERING of Fans around the world.

      Jerry,  I had sent you an Email @ your personal Email , but just in case. Here is WHAT I GOT TO TELL YOU !   In 1992 I was being trained by Jeff Jarrett when an arm-drag take over was was takeing , I went the wrong way, and hence dislocated my left shoulder , and broke my clavicle. So I thought my wrestling days were over.,It hurt cause I was so close to being in the ring , and living a childhood dream. A couple of months later I seen you at the nashville Fairgrounds , when you beat the Snowman for the Undisputed World Championship. I spent my $5.00 and got a polaroid with you , and told you of my injury. You asked what did I do for a living, and I said a Paramedic/ Fire fighter with Wilson County, in Lebanon. And it was then you said "we need Paramedics more than Wrestlers."     It ment alot to me , hearing those words. But being as hardheaded as my wife says I am. I pursued my wrestling Career , until I finally got with NWA Worldwide. Granted it was not the USWA, But I was wrestling in the Fairgrounds. And then the night I marked out !!!  There I was in the Heel dressing room , with my pants,and Underwear going down to my knees , when you , Brian and Stacy walked in . I idolized You , and not thinking I sttod up to shake your hand, and there goes my pants and all !  Anyway. I have since gave up wrestling , I loved it , I miss it. But I have three kids , and Beautiful wife and a great career as a Paramedic Fire fighter. Your words were so true 11 years ago. Thank you Jerry. You are still my Wrestling Idol. I still have the pictures , two of your books (Crowning of a King and It's good to be a King.. Some times). And T shirts. From when I was a Kid. Thank you Jerry for being a kids Idol , and an adults advisor.

Jerry I just wanted to drop you a line and let you know how much I enjoyed your book. I have been a wrestling fan all my life but never had the privelage of seeing you wrestle live due to the fact that I am from Rhode Island. However I used to go to a place called the 7 and 7 club in providence with my father and saw many of the greats ... Andre the Giant, Sgt. Slaughter, Pedro Morales, Ivan Putzki. I used to also go every year to the Rocky Hill State Fair and saw people like The Moon Dogs, Jimmy Super Fly Snuka, Bob Backlund, Jessee Ventura the list goes on and on. When I was a kid we actually walked up the street with Andre The Giant could have met him but I was crying too much. Hey I was nine. I also read a lot about you in the wrestling magazines I got and alwyas knew who you were just never saw you. I am so happy that you are back on Raw you and JR make the show. You make me laugh so much and your genuine love for the sport truly comes through.

     I got your book for Christmas!!!  (It was my favorite gift.)  I'm about 3/4 the way through with it - it's great!!!   I'm from Corinth,MS and was wondering if you were going to be anywhere in this area for a book signing??  By the way, I work for the Kimberly-Clark Mill here in Corinth....  (I've been with them for over 20 years - transferred all over the Southeast U.S.)  I know people that worked at Memphis and know your brother, Larry...   I've never had the chance to visit there when it was in operation... Also, when I was a kid growing up in Georgia (had to the 70's), I remember you coming through the area and wrestling...   I specifically remembering you being on channel 3 in Columbus, GA at 4:00 for live wrestling.  People just loved to hate you!!!  Take care and good luck to you in all your endeavors!!!  I'm really enjoying your book!!

I just finished your book and I am half way through Hogan`s, and your book is a hundred times the Hogan book is.  You just need to put it out on DVD and blow Hogan off the charts. Thanks KING.

Hey King!!
Just finished reading your book and I have to say, it was definitely one of those books you just can't put down!!  Normally it would take me a week to read a book like that but I finished it in 2 days!  I live about 80 miles east of Memphis in Henderson, TN and  have been a wrestling fan for a very long time.  I used to go to the Jackson Coliseum as a kid to watch you, Jackie Fargo, Tojo, Jerry Jarrett, the Fabs, etc., and reading your book brought back so many memories. Actually one of my sisters, Kathy, has been friends with Jimmy Hart for a long time. I don't think that they have spoken in a while, though.
I have to say that the whole time I was reading your book, I felt like I was reading in the first person, like I was "living your life" and the whole deal with Stacy...I could feel your heartache because I've been through the same thing before.  I have "looked over the edge of that ferry" so to speak and had the same feeling, that I would be hurting more people than just the girl.  I realized that I had to be strong and to move on.  I know it was hard on you because Stacy was my favorite diva of all times and can imagine the emptiness you felt.  But now I have so much more respect for you as a wrestler and as a person and hopefully I will have the honor of meeting you sometime. I missed out on going to the Pyramid last May 20 (my birthday!) for the show, but I'm going to do my best to be at the next one there!
Well, King, I hope to make your aquaintance sometime, until then, keep up the good work!  Will see ya on Raw!!

Greetings Oh Great King!
While in Wal Mart on Christmas Eve something caught my eye and sent me back in time to 1978. Your book! The last time I saw you or heard your name was that summer in Memphis back in 1978. Our father was retiring from the Marine Corps and our 3 year duty in Millington was over and again it was time to move on. You were so much a part of our youth and seeing your book was just too great a find to pass up. It is 3 days after buying it and having read it, I'm compelled to write to you.
Not only are you a splendid story teller, but you are truly a man of awesome talents. Your Frazetta rendition shocked me. What a gift! When you wrote that you could draw a portrait as easily as you could sign your name, I let out a laugh! When I used to teach driver's ed, I couldn't even draw a stop-sign! Have you ever seen any of Bob Parkin's art? Or Boris Vallejo? You are every bit as gifted.
I should offer you thanks for so many great memories, as well as, motivation to succeed in school. My father, as I mentioned, was a Marine. A fighter pilot at that...the worst kind of Marine! His feelings on wrestling were similar to your mother's. We weren't allowed many frivolities, but if we made straight A's in school, we could go see you at the Mid South Colliseum on a school night. You were my motivation to do homework and study hard in a school that I hated.
One time, a talk show in Memphis showed previews of their next day's show which would air an interview with you. I played sick and stayed home from school and watched it. Your sons were on with you and one of them had a black eye; a gift from the other one!
My brother and I thought you were the man! We got to see you go up against Harley Race! You had him pinned but I think the bell rang and time was up...no win! As you left the ring, my brother and I made our way to the ring to see you. As you left, you walked right by us and looked right at us! We were in total awe! Our hero had looked at us! From then on, my grades were straight A's! I never missed a match!
24 years later I have 3 kids, pastor a church, and you are still the King! Well done!
May your sorrows stay behind you and only joy and happiness await you down the road. Thank you for a life well-lived and one that you can be proud of. Even at 37 years old, I'm proud to say I still think you're the King and a man I admire.

The stories about the old days of wrestling were my favorite . My wife was actually jealous of your book because once I started reading , I didn't want to put it down .    Dear King,

     I wanted to write you to thank you for putting out such a great book.  I have read The Rock's book and one of Mick Foley's books, and with all due respect to their authors and subjects, yours was by far the superior read.  I loved the other books, don't get me wrong, but I never laughed or cried while sitting by myself to a book before.  Come to think of it, I never laughed or cried sitting by myself period. 

     I was a fan of wrestling as a young boy in the seventies and early eighties.  But living in St. Louis, I saw Wrestling at the Chase, and WW(F) programming.  The Chase show had alot of Dick the Bruiser and Harley Race, but I never remember ever seeing you wrestle as a child.  In fact, other than hearing of The King Jerry Lawler, I can't say that I even knew who you were until I started watching wrestling again as an adult about five years ago, and other than a handful of matches here and there, I know you solely as an announcer.

     I knew as soon as I saw WW(F) RAW for the first time, (sometime in 1998) that I was seeing something special. You and J.R. were as much of the story to me as the matches themselves.  I have been to a couple of shows live at The Savvis Center in the past few years, and while I have enjoyed myself thoroughly, I found out after my first live event, that it's not the same when you can't hear you two.  So, from then on, I have recorded the show when I have gone, and watched it AS SOON as I got home.

      Back to the book.  I received it as a Christmas present from my mother-in-law, which was a shock. (I can only think that my wife told her that it's what I really wanted, because my in-laws think that the WWE is evil)  My wife knows how big a fan I am, and asked me if I wanted Hogan's new book when she saw it, but I told her that what I really wanted was yours because all though I was always a big Hulkamaniac, I just feel more in sync with your thoughts every time I watch RAW.

     Your book was great.  You have the total package.  Humor, tragedy, triumph, and heartbreak.  From one fan to the ultimate fan, you are the King.  I wish I could have known the glory of your kingdom sooner, but the book helped me catch up. Thank you for such an entertaining read, not to mention such entertaining Monday nights.

     I don't know if you respond to your emails, or if you even actually read all of them,  but I must say that a response from the King would be the absolute coolest thing in the world.

     I have a question for you, I have never been to a live show other than a house show in my home town; Toledo,Ohio. So I was wondering since you and J.R. really make "Raw", "Smackdown!", and the PPV's worth watching ; I was wondering that if I was to go to one of these events would I be able to hear the commentary in the audience?
     Your book was wonderful, I had no idea you had done and still do so much more than just the shows for "WWE", I was sadened to hear about your troubles with the women in your life; especially Stacy. I was glad to see you thank Mick Foley for "Christmas Chaos", I was wondering what he has been doing lately if you know. I was also glad to see that some of the good wrestlers that used to be with the "WWE" are still doing their thing.
      My wife and I are huge fans of the "WWE" we have just about every book that has been printed, all but "The Fabulous Moolah"; I can't say I have a favorite, I love learning as much as I can about the "WWE" and those who make it happen. Today is my oldest son's birthday, (December 29th) he is three; and already he can do a pretty good leg drop, we are hoping he don't to become a pro wrestle but we would back him up either way, even if he wanted to do as your Mom calls it "That mess".
      Well I thank you for your time, and for releasing your book , again I enjoyed it very much. I am sure that good things will come to you, hell you have had your share of bad times; so it could only get better right?      Dear Jerry "The King" (Not the Ring, Dammit!) Lawler,

      I got your book for Christmas, and I finished it this
morning. It was one of the best books I have read in a long while. I have
been a wrestling fan for approx. 20 years (give or take a few). The first
match I remember seeing was Uncle Elmer, Hillbilly Jim, and Cousin Luke vs.
Jesse "The Body" Ventura, "Cowboy" Bob Orton, and "Rowdy" Roddy Piper (wow,
too many quotation marks!). After a grueling match, the heels got the win
when Luke was knocked out by Orton's ever-present arm cast. Needless to say,
I was hooked on wrestling. For a while, the WWF/E was the only game in town.
Then I discovered that ESPN carried AWA and then World Class Championship
Wrestling. That's when I discovered you. I have been a fan of yours for a
very long time. I can still plain-as-day remember the promo you cut on the
WWF/E and the NWA, saying how their champions were only "Company" champions
and how you were the only true "world" champion (I do believe you were
holding both the AWA and WCCW titles, Marc Lowrance was the interviewer).
Enough of my pathetic fan-boy rambling (I know you are extremely busy). I
just wanted to thank you for all the years you have given us, all the
entertainment, the blood, sweat, and tears. I look forward to many more
(well, except for the tears, you deserve some happiness dammit!). Your book
brought back alot of memories for me. Reminded me of all the great matches I
have seen over the years. Business may be down now, but it will come back.
It always does. Wrestling is too great to be held down for too long.

P.S.- I had to cringe when Roker messed up. Your response pretty much summed
it up for me.

     The book is great, I've read the Rocks book, Mankind and yours is keeping me peeled to it I think I could finish it in a day, but I really enjoy relaxing and reading it at night.  I grew up with wrestling here in Memphis so alot of the stories I can really relate to.

     So glad that you have ditched most of the girls in the book, except Martha Kay and Paula.  I think from an outsiders view those two were best matched for you.  Best career move you ever made was getting the Kat out of view.  Sorry I had to let you know that, you've been my favorite for many years have to tell you the truth.

Growing up in Cookeville it was neat to read things and think " I remember that".  Lance & Dave on Saturday morning was "can't miss TV."  Feel lucky, for you have lived a charmed life. All I can say is " When will the movie be out?"  Good luck on wherever the Royal Road leads you next. You had me fooled, too. I didn't know for sure the Kaufman thing was a work until I saw Man on the Moon.

DOWN ON HIGHLAND.  WHEN YOU PLAYED THE PART OF A 'HEEL', YOU WERE A CLASSIC 'HEEL.'  YOU WERE MEAN AND NASTY, AND WE LOVED IT.  BEING AN AFRICAN AMERICAN, I WAS ALWAYS GLAD TO SEE AFRICAN AMERICAN WRESTLERS PERFORM IN THE RING.  I REMEMBER WHEN YOU WRESTLED BEAR CAT BROWN.  YOU AND BEARCAT HAD SOME CLASSIC MATCHES, AND I REMEMBER WHEN YOU DROPPED THE BELT TO ROCKY JOHNSON, BACK IN 1976.  WHEN YOU AND SAM BASS WERE TOGETHER; YOU AND SAM MADE A CLASSIC TEAM.  I REMEMBER WAY BACK WHEN JIM WHITE WAS YOUR PARTNER; YOU AND JIM BEAT EVERYBODY'S ASS IN THE TERRITORY.  AND I REMEMBER WHEN YOU TEAMED UP WITH PLOWBOY FRAZIER.  NOW THAT WAS A CLASSIC TEAM.  YOU AND PLOWBOY MADE US LAUGH EVERY SATURDAY MORNING AND EVERY MONDAY NIGHT AT THE COLISEUM.  IT WAS FUNNY WHEN YOU AND SAM TURNED ON PLOWBOY IN MAY OF 1976.  YOU ALL HAD AN ANGLE, WHEREBY, OLE JERRY JARRETT WAS TELLING PLOWBOY THAT YOU WERE JUST USING HIM, AND YOU WERE STEALING HIS MONEY.  HE TOLD PLOWBOY THAT THE RINGS YOU BOUGHT WHEN WERE FAKE AND THEY COST ONLY 5 DOLLARS A PIECE.  I LAUGHED SO HARD I CRIED.  THEN YOU TOLD PLOWBOY HE WAS A BIG DUMB RED NECK IF HE BELIEVED WHAT JERRY JARRETT HAD TOLD HIM, THEN YOU AND SAM JUMPED PLOWBOY AND BEAT HIS ASS WITH A AX HANDLE.   I MEAN PLOWBOY ACTUALLY HAD REAL SCARS ON HIS BACK FROM THE BEATING YOU AND SAM PUT ON HIS FAT ASS.  YOU AND SAM BEAT PLOWBOY LIKE A GOVERNMENT MULE.   REMEMBER BACK WHEN YOU AND SAM USE TO GO TO THE RING THE LITTLE OLD LADIES IN THE FRONT ROW USE TO SWING AT YOU AND SAM WITH PURSES, WALKING STICKS AND ANYTHING ELSE THEY COULD GET THEIR HANDS ON.  I REMEMBER ONE NIGHT YOU AND SAM WERE GETTING OUT OF THE RING AND A LITTLE OLD LADY HIT YOU OVER THE HEAD WITH AN UMBRELLA.  I REMEMBER THE SAD NIGHT THAT SAM BASS AND THE DOMINOS (FRANK HESTER & PEPE LOPEZ) DIED IN THAT FATAL CAR CRASH EARLY IN THE MORNING BACK IN AUGUST OF 1976. YOU HAD WRESTLED HARLEY RACE THE NIGHT BEFORE IN MEMPHIS.  YOU WERE CONTENDING FOR THE WORLD HEAVY CHAMPIONSHIP BELT.  AT THAT TIME ALL THE TOP CONTENDERS WERE COMING TO MEMPHIS, AND YOU WERE BEATING THEM EVERY WEEK AND MOVING UP THE LADDER TO THE NUMBER ONE SPOT TO GET A SHOT AT TERRY FUNK'S NWA WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE.   IT WAS IN THE SUMMER, AND I WAS ABOUT TO ENTER THE TWELFTH GRADE AT MITCHELL HIGH SCHOOL IN SOUTHWEST MEMPHIS.  WHEN WE HEARD THE NEWS ON THE RADIO, I WAS IN SHOCK.  I COULD NOT BELIEVE IT.  I SIT DOWN AND I COULD NOT DO ANYTHING BUT THINK ABOUT GOOD OLE SAM BASS, AND HOW WRESTLING IN MEMPHIS WOULD NEVER BE THE SAME AGAIN WITHOUT SAM BASS.  SAM (FRED W.)    Great book KING!
Just finished it and what a story. Brings back alot of memories at the wrestling
matches every Monday night. It was the highlight of my whole week to see
Saturday Morning Wrestling. I remember that in the 70's, my grandfather thought wrestling was as real as rain water. He died when I was 5. I was born in 72 and my father never really liked it. But he would still take me to the matches on Monday night because I wanted to go. Dad always said it wasn't real. But I knew it was. I was there when you lost the Loser Leaves Town Match with Dundee. I made him stay late that to make sure you had lost. The King lives  here, so there is no way he can lose.
  Years later me and a friend went to Nashville for the Sunday training with
Jeff Jarrett. Jeff was not there so I paid my $20.00 to Dr. Tom. That afternoon
when we made it back to Memphis (Bartlet), I took my shirt off to show my father how real wrestling was along with all my bruises.
  To this day, I tell all my friends and co-workers( At Lewis Ford) that they may
even say that wrestling is fixed. I say give Tom Prichard $20.00, then tell me it's  fixed.

     I read about this site in your book and thought I would give it a shot see if I hear anything back. Anyways I really enjoyed your book I could not put it down I got it for Christmas and am already done with it. I stayed up till four am to finish it.  The part about you and Stacy made me cry I am so sorry.  I always enjoy your commentating on raw and never miss an episode. I am looking forward to seeing you soon in Chicago on January 27th I never miss a live event. Thank you for the book and I know it will be a number one seller in no time!

I'm a very successful businessman, a VP of the Limited Stores Corporation, but I wish I could do life all over again and be a Pro Wrestler.

     Hello King!   I just wanted to let you know that my one and only Christmas present this year was your book. It was a very tight Christmas as far as money was concerned, but your book made the holiday very worth-while. I have always been a huge wrestling fan and in my 33 years, I've seen alot! I appreciate you bringing back some old memories for me (I completely forgot you used to throw fire). Thanks a bunch! It was a great read.    I just got done reading a copy of "It's good to be the King...Sometimes".  I want to say that the book was just awesome.

   The book brought you threw all emotions, it will make you mad, laugh, cry and you can feel the emotion of the whole book.  It has just the right amount of past, and present. I just want to say that i usually am not a book reader, if i can not get into the first chapter, I will just put the book down, With this book it was opposite, I could not put it down because he just was such a easy read, and once you started you could not put it down. King, hat's off you did a great job, and thanks for writing such a great book.

I remember Thanksgiving, 1988, Jackson, TN.  My first meeting with "The
King".  I was 14, and a mark. 

We went to a convenience store (that's long since been gone) across from the
Mall to get a drink after watching "The King" beat Kerry Von Erich for the
WCCW belt (only to lose it Monday night). 

I went in, took a quick peek at the PWI ratings, and when I raised up, I
bumped my head on the shelf.  A voice behind me said "Ouch, I bet that
hurt".  I turned to see a smiling "King", Jerry Bryant and Calhoun.  He then
said, "You should be a wrestler when you grow up, if that didn't bother
you". 

He was close.  I'm now a semi-retired manager and booker.  I've hung out in
dressing rooms with him, and to everyone there, I was a "nobody", just a
tag-a-long with another wrestler, but he never treated me like I didn't
belong, or anything.  He was just as cordial to me as he was to the rest of
the boys. 

There was the Power Pro Fabs vs. Lawler/Dundee show.  "King" asked Stan if
he had a copy of the last "Monday Night Memories": show they did.  He said
"No....Who did we work, anyway?"  I waited, and no one knew.  I said "You
received a bye into the second round, where you wrestled the Moondogs, who
beat "The King and Boogie, and then you had Rich and Gilbert in the finals,
who beat Dundee and Christopher in the first round, and you won the "Best Of
Memphis Tag Tournament."  "The King's" eyes got wide, and he said "That was
at least 6 years ago....How did you remember all of that?"  I grinned real
big and told him "That's what I do...would you like to know the finishes?"
Great expressions from the room then!  Funny stuff!

My Favorite Memory of Jerry The King.

I was in a USA Championship Wrestling event in the Nashville Fairgrounds in 2001. It was my brothers birthday. Jerry was still with The Kat at the time. He was facing a guy whose name is not important. Jerry seemed to be playing with him. I knew Jerry would win and of course he did. He took the time to say some words on the mic in the middle of the match to talk trash and say hi. Jerry is one of a kind. I was at ringside. And then in the end Kat stripped down to her Bra and Panties right in the middle of the ring. I wont ever forget that night. It was the fight event I ever say The King fight in a wrestling match when I was actually there. Long Live The King!
